Welcome to Chapel Hill'sLower School:
Building a Foundation of Faith and Excellence
for Kindergarten through Fifth Grades

At Chapel Hill Christian Academy, our Lower School students are being prepared to serve, lead, and impact the world for Christ. Each day, children are immersed in a safe, nurturing environment that inspires curiosity and cultivates a lifelong love of learning. We are shaping confident learners who give generously, love deeply, and keep their eyes on Jesus.

Partnering closely with parents, we take seriously the calling to “train up a child in the way he should go.” Academic growth and spiritual formation go hand in hand—developing both the mind and the heart of every child.

Learning That Inspires

Our classrooms are filled with real learning and genuine excitement for discovery. With an average class size of 15 students, our teachers are able to minister to the whole child—enriching students spiritually, intellectually, and socially while helping each one discover their unique identity in Christ.

Each day is filled with opportunities to learn, play, and grow. Teachers guide students through challenging lessons and joyful collaboration, all while making space for those powerful “teachable moments” that build honesty, resilience, and grace. Whether resolving conflicts, encouraging a friend, or celebrating a success, students are learning to live out Christ-like character in community.

A Balanced, Biblically-Rooted Education

Our curriculum offers a well-rounded range of academic subjects taught from a Biblical worldview—combining strong core instruction with hands-on learning and creativity.

  • Phonics and reading instruction build strong literacy foundations.

  • Hands-on math experiences promote understanding and critical thinking.

  • Explorative science encourages curiosity about God’s creation.

  • History, art, music, and Bible bring depth, joy, and meaning to every school day.

You might hear songs spilling out of a classroom, see students collaborating in small groups, or watch them presenting what they’ve discovered with joy and confidence. Every moment of learning is designed to help them grow in wisdom, knowledge, and love.

Why should families entrust us with their child's academic and spiritual education and invest their lives in Chapel Hill?

We have a vision to help raise generations of children, students who will graduate with a Biblical worldview and foundation in the Lord, a servant's heart, academically ready for the next chapter the Lord calls them.

Here's why families are partnering with CHCA.

"God led us here 4 years ago.We entrust CHCA because His presence is evident in the fruit of each teacher, coach, and staff member. The heart each person has for our children is beautiful. Our kids spend just as much of their day at Chapel Hill as they do at home. Raising disciples is our greatest call as parents and what better organization to unite in raising these disciples, than Chapel Hill."

"Families are invested because they hear and see what is happening at CHCA.  Children are learning academically but also so spiritually.  They also love the smaller classrooms where children can get more attention to meet their needs.  They also recognize there is a vision for the school (their children) and see it exemplified by the administration, faculty and staff."

"We are invested in CHCA because we believe whole-heartedly that the spiritual and academic opportunities the CHCA is providing for families is unmatched in the Montgomery County community.  We believe God’s hand is on this school and it’s leadership and we have also been called to support this mission in whatever way we can."

At Chapel Hill, our parents, students, and teachers are working together to build a school we love.

Welcome to Lower School at Chapel Hill

I am so excited to begin this upcoming school year with your child and family as Chapel Hill Christian Academy's Lower School Principal. God is doing amazing things at Chapel Hill and it is truly an honor to be a small part of it! As we look forward to the upcoming year, I'm praying for your child! I pray that each student will flourish academically, and develop a love of learning. Most importantly, I pray they grow in their relationship and walk with Christ. When I  pass the students in the hallway or see you in car line, I feel the love you have for your child. I don't know about you, but when I think about how much I love my two girls, I'm blown away by how much God loves us! He sent his only Son to die on the cross so we can have eternity in heaven. Isn't that pretty amazing? Words cannot explain how much joy I have that He is at the center of our daily routine and focus. It is such a special place. We have the opportunity to come, grow, learn, and talk about Jesus. At Chapel Hill, we are preparing our students to go out into the world and follow God's plan for their life. Whether that be as an engineer, a missionary, a teacher, or a chef, we want them to have a wonderful foundation.

At Chapel Hill, we want the children to know that no matter what is going on in the world around them, they can face it because they have a relationship with Jesus. Isaiah 41:10 says, "Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." Thank you for choosing Chapel Hill Christian Academy! May we partner together on your child's educational journey to create and foster an environment that is distinctively Christian, academically excellent, and biblically saturated. It is my pleasure and honor to serve at Chapel Hill Christian Academy. Let's go, CHCA!
