Preparing for Life After High School

At Chapel Hill Christian Academy, we believe that all students are uniquely called and equipped to fulfill the purpose the Lord has for them (1 Corinthians 12:4-6 and Romans 12:6-8).  As a school, our desire is to partner with high school students and their families as they discern the next steps that the Lord has called them to.

The goal of the Called program is to help students identify their unique giftings, consider how different paths after high school align with these gifts, research and gain hands-on experience in different fields so that students feel equipped in their next steps after graduating high school.

No matter what next steps students take upon graduation, we want them to have full assurance that they are pursuing a path that the Lord has already established (Proverbs 16:9). They are chosen and called.

Supports we’re thankful to be able to offer to all of our high school students:

  • “Called Week” each fall with visits from different colleges, universities, technical schools and military organizations

  • ACT Slam - Saturday ACT Prep Event (9th and 10th Grade)

  • ACT Prep Class (11th Grade)

  • ACT Testing offered at the school for 10th-12th grade students

  • PSAT offered to 10th and 11th grade students in October

  • ASVAB Testing (10th - 12th Grade)

  • Partnership with Bryan College for Dual Enrollment opportunities

  • CALLED class (12th grade) - college applications, career readiness and life skills

  • Individual academic planning and college advising beginning in 9th grade

Opportunities for High School Students

As students enter high school, we are excited to share about different programs students may be interested in as they think about what comes after high school. Some of these programs are geared towards specific interests students may have while others are excellent leadership opportunities. These programs are meant to compliment the opportunities students already have being enrolled at Chapel Hill.

Portrait of a Graduate
Parents and teachers describe our Chapel Hill Graduates.

"A CHCA Graduate is a capable, well rounded student- one who is confident, models initiative/motivation, sound judgment, and a heart to serve Jesus."

"A CHCA Graduate takes pride in their Christian education and feel passionate about telling others where they received their high school education." #golions

"A CHCA Graduate knows Jesus in a personal way. Their relationships

demonstrate that they belong to Him through the way they talk, walk and present themselves before others."

"A CHCA Graduate has confidence & humility – the ability to speak up for themselves and advocate for others when needed but also the wisdom and humility to consider other’s point of view and understand that learning is a life-long endeavor and listening is oftentimes much more important than speaking."

"A CHCA Graduate is resilient to bounce back after setbacks or challenging situations. He or She knows the Lord and His endless love for them. They are able to persevere in the face of obstacles academically and personally."

"A CHCA Graduate will have grown and accepted a biblical worldview to navigate the challenges the world will present to them. Our graduates will have developed the study habits and knowledge required to enter their college or career of choice."
