Frequently Asked Questions
Choosing a school is a meaningful decision, and we want you to feel informed as you explore Chapel Hill Christian Academy. Here are answers to some of the questions families ask most often.
Getting to Know CHCA
What makes Chapel Hill Christian Academy distinctive?
CHCA partners with families to provide an education that is distinctively Christian, academically excellent, Biblically saturated, and oriented toward mission and service. We want students to be known and loved, challenged to grow, and prepared to serve and lead wherever God calls them.
Is chapel part of the school day?
Yes. Students gather for chapel every single school day!! The name Chapel Hill reflects our desire to begin each morning meeting with the Lord and centering our school day on Him. Biblical truth also shapes what students learn, how we teach, and how we care for one another throughout the day.
Does my family need to attend a particular church to apply?
Families are invited to explore CHCA’s statement of faith, mission, core values, and school policies as part of the admissions process. We ask families to embrace and support the Christian education and partnership we provide. If you have questions about what that means for your family, our Admissions Team would be glad to talk with you.
What grades and programs does CHCA offer?
For the 2027–2028 school year, CHCA plans to serve students from PK3 through 12th grade, including our full-time and Hybrid Homeschool programs. We look forward to celebrating our first graduating class in May 2028.
Where is CHCA located?
Our school currently meets on the Hilldale Baptist Church campus at 2001 Madison Street in Clarksville. We are also preparing for our future permanent PK–12 campus on CHCA’s land in the Sango area.

When can we apply?
Applications for the 2027–2028 school year open October 21, 2026. The first-round application deadline is January 15, 2027, with decisions planned for March 5. The second-round deadline is March 15, with decisions planned for April 5. Placement depends on the admissions review and space available in the requested grade and program.
What does the admissions process include?
After you apply, eligible families may be invited to campus for a family interview and student academic screener, provided space remains in the requested grade. Our Admissions Committee then reviews the application and shares an enrollment decision. If an offer is made, families have one week to accept or decline it.
What if a grade is full?
Interest in CHCA has grown, and space can vary by grade and program. Our Admissions Team can explain current availability and the next steps for your child’s grade. An application does not guarantee a seat.
Can students join CHCA during the school year?
Midyear opportunities depend on available space and the student’s circumstances. Please contact Admissions so we can discuss your child’s grade level and timing.
Should we apply for enrollment before applying for financial aid or the Education Freedom Scholarship (EFS)?
Yes! Please submit your CHCA enrollment application first. We must have an application on file to consider your child for enrollment and to consider your family for CHCA financial aid.
Applying for financial aid or EFS does not serve as an application to Chapel Hill or guarantee admission. These are separate processes. Families seeking CHCA financial aid are also required to apply for EFS first; once EFS applications are processed, CHCA evaluates eligibility for additional assistance based on financial need and available funds.
Our Admissions Team is happy to help you understand the next steps for your family.
Learning and Student Life FAQ
What is the Hybrid Homeschool program?
Our Hybrid Homeschool program combines on-campus learning with parent-led learning at home using the educational plan provided by CHCA teachers. Hybrid students are part of the CHCA community and have opportunities to participate in chapel, clubs, athletics, and school events. The schedule and expectations vary by level, so we encourage families to discuss the program with Admissions.
How large are classes?
CHCA’s average class size is approximately 15 students.
How does CHCA support students academically?
Our teachers seek to know each student well, provide strong instruction, and partner with families as students grow. When a student needs additional support, our school team works with the family to understand the need and discuss the support CHCA can provide.
What opportunities are available beyond the classroom?
Students have opportunities to grow through chapel, service, athletics, clubs, school events, and relationships across the CHCA community. Available activities vary by age and school year.
How does CHCA prepare high school students for college, career, and calling?
CHCA’s high school program prepares students academically, spiritually, and practically through a distinctly Christian education rooted in Biblical truth. Our projected course pathway includes Bible & Discipleship, English, mathematics, science, history, and Spanish, alongside opportunities in agriculture, health and wellness, technology, and the arts. ACT preparation, communication skills, personal finance, and dual enrollment opportunities help students prepare for life beyond graduation.
Families considering enrollment during high school will have their student’s transcript and previously earned credits reviewed to determine how they align with CHCA’s graduation requirements and course pathway.
View our High School Course Outline for the projected pathway. Course offerings may grow and develop based on student interest, staffing, and program expansion.
